This is where you state the maximum amount you are prepared to bid and we bid on your behalf but cannot exceed that figure. We are not allowed to exceed your figure by even a single pound and we will always try to get the item as cheaply as possible bearing in mind reserves and other bids.
Example: The highest bid in the room is £4,500 but your commission bid is £6,000 and the auctioneer is going up in £200 increments. Your next bid will therefore be £4,700 and providing there are no more bids that will be the hammer price of the Lot and you will be the new owner.
Due to the delicate nature of many items it is recommended that a recognised carrier be used to pack and transport automobilia. If a purchaser has any specific shipping requirements then they should inform the Automobilia department within 48 hours of the notification by us that they have been successful. Otherwise items will be dealt with according to our standard terms under which the items will be taken to our recommended shippers within five working days of the sale to be packed and sent at the most competitive price that the shippers are able to obtain. All items will be sent inclusive of full insurance unless the Automobilia department is informed otherwise within 48 hours of notification. Our recommended shippers are Mailboxes Etc who have offices around the UK.
